What Human Design Is

Human Design blends astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and chakra systems into a single chart — your BodyGraph — that maps how you're energetically wired to make decisions, relate to others, and move through the world.

What Gates Are

Your BodyGraph contains 64 Gates, each corresponding to one of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. A Gate that's "activated" in your chart (based on your birth data) represents a specific trait, drive, or theme that's consistently present in how you operate.

Gates and Channels

When two Gates on opposite ends of your BodyGraph are both activated, they form a Channel — a more defined, consistent flow of energy between two centers of your chart. Not every Gate you have will connect into a Channel, and that's normal.
